Toss out the razor and enjoy the smooth road ahead

This type of procedure might be right for you if you've ever said:

I'm sick of razor bumps in my armpits.

Shaving my legs takes too long and I always miss my knees.

I'm over having to dermaplane my face for these little hairs.

If you're tired of the hassle of shaving, waxing, or using creams to remove unwanted hair, laser hair removal using Intense-Pulsed Light (IPL) may be the solution you've been looking for. IPL is a popular method of permanent hair reduction that is safe, effective, and relatively painless.

Which areas can I have laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal can be done on almost any part of the body, including the face, underarms, legs, bikini area, and back. At our plastic surgery and dermatology office, we offer laser hair removal services using registered nurses or physicians who are trained and experienced in the procedure. We take great care to ensure that each patient receives personalized attention and a customized treatment plan based on their individual needs.

How painful is laser hair removal?

Most people describe the sensation of laser hair removal as a mild discomfort, similar to a hot rubber band snapping against the skin. The intensity of the sensation can vary depending on the individual's pain tolerance and the sensitivity of the treatment area. At our office, we can easily dial the settings on the laser up or down to achieve comfort throughout the treatment.

At other offices when you purchase laser treatments by the session you might feel like you need to “grit and bear it” so you don't have to purchase other sessions.  This sounds lousy and literally a pain.  We would rather you be comfortable during the session and have a pleasant experience.  When you're comfortable, we're comfortable.  When the treatment isn't painful, you're more likely to come back and complete the recommended treatment to achieve permanent hair removal.

We would rather treat you more times and have you be comfortable each time then to get you done as quickly as possible and make it uncomfortable.

Cost

We know that every patient will need multiple treatments and it is difficult to say if this will take 3 or up to 6 treatments.  We don't want our patients to stress about if they will have to pay for additional sessions because then they might try to push through painful, higher settings to achieve their goals.

By selling these as a package, we're selling you results.  You're here for hair removal and that's what we're offering.  The cost is higher up front because you're not paying per session, but we hope the piece of mind knowing that we will make sure you're thrilled with your result justifies the cost.

Small areas $450 (armpits, areolas, hands/feet, 15 min appt)

Medium areas $750 (brazilian, full face, half legs, half arms, half back, other, 30 min appt)

Large areas $1200 (full legs, full arms, full back, abs/chest, 60 min appt)

Who should avoid laser hair removal?

Not everyone is a good candidate for laser hair removal. Those with very light hair or very dark skin may not be good candidates or take more sessions. Pregnant women and those with certain medical conditions may also be advised against the procedure.  Call our office to inquire.

Aftercare

After each treatment, you need to avoid sun exposure to treated areas and to use sunblock to protect your skin. Patients should avoid hot showers or baths, harsh skincare products, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours after your treatment.

As for showering after laser hair removal, it is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours before taking a shower. This allows the skin to fully recover from the treatment. After 24 hours, you can take a lukewarm shower and avoid using hot water or scrubbing the treated area too vigorously.
